I READ JAY KUO
I had a response to today's article. This is it and a bit more.
In today’s Status Kuo, Jay Kuo started with this line: “The walls are closing in on Trump, and he finds himself increasingly cornered.”
I hope someone has disconnected “The Button” and “The Football.” I think he will burn the world to ash to save his own ass. Believe me. A $400,000,000 ballroom? He’s enlarging the bunker underneath the former East Wing.
(Jay said Trump was looking a bit weakened.) And while Trump may be showing weakness, how’s Russell Vought doing? Is anybody bothering him at all? Aren’t he and Stephen Miller REALLY running the domestic side of the USA?
Trump pretty much controls the airwaves, that’s almost 100% complete. He’s just got a few small thorns in his side, like Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers and shows like The View. He should leave them alone and call himself magnanimous, but, he’s just not built that way.
Local and state governments who won’t kiss his ass, will kiss his ICE. How will we be able to rid ourselves of those bastards? They are a bunch of sadists and Nazis, and they’d love to continue what they’re doing. How do we stop them, short of physically overpowering them, stripping them of their weaponry, “uniforms” and their anonymity?
Voting machine accuracy? How can you get them audited before and after voting when CONGRESSMEN can’t even get into government buildings to check on ICE’s detainees, even though they have the legal right to do so?
What do we do if ICE is still around in November, and what if they’re stationed at and in polling places? What can we do to stop them from harassing and, even worse, keep them from dragging registered Democrats away as illegal voters? They don’t have to deploy everywhere, just in the districts that vote overly for Democrats.
The police? Almost two decades ago, the FBI released reports about white supremacists “infiltrating” police departments around the country. My guess is that they’re fully infiltrated by now. Hegseth is doing his best to make the military obey; we haven’t heard a peep out of any active duty officer, but I can’t really fault those who are quietly opposed to oppression. The military is pointedly NOT a democracy.
It’s a good thing we’ve got the internet and social media, for now at least. On the other hand, if it actually gets to the point where Der Trumpenfuehrer actually starts arresting people who don’t like him, you can bet your asses that Zuckerberg and Musk will happily turn over all of the information they have on us, probably without even being asked. And NOTHING on the internet ever really goes away.
And, let’s not forget that the majority of states have turned over their voter registration lists while the rest are refusing.
Venezuela, Greenland, Cuba, Columbia, Panama, NATO. I can do best by quoting from my favorite TV show, Babylon 5: “Only an idiot fights a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts.” (Hey, Jay, you paraphrased Princess Leia.) Remember, Mr. FIFA Peace Prize has bombed eight countries, and he still hasn’t finished his first year. He’s doing as ordered by his Cutie Putintootie, Vladimir. While destroying America, he’s going to take down NATO, too, letting Putin do whatever he can get away with.
Please don’t think that I am all gloom and doom, but, I AM a realist, and these are things we do need to consider, because if I CAN figure this shit out, they sure as hell can. These are just thoughts, after all.
Wouldn’t it just be nice if we all woke up on Wednesday to read that the entire administration said “well gee, if everybody hates us, we’re going to take our balls and bats and go home. WE QUIT. GOODBYE.” but c’mon, it’s much more likely that they are going to double down, and double down again by substituting live ammunition for tear gas and pepper pellets.
So. What DO we do? Since Jay and I were quoting movies, here’s a couple more: Nick Fury in The Avengers: “What are you PREPARED to do?” and the Avengers in Endgame: “Whatever it takes.”
Jay wrapped up with “The White House is acting predictably, going out on bridges too far before they will hold it. It is building things up to its own spectacular collapse.” I agree. They’re going to overreach too far, overbalance, and fall off a cliff. But these people, especially Trump, are the kind who may think “If I’m going down, I’m taking them all with me!” which brings me back to my real fear: I hope to god that SOMEONE has disconnected “The Button.”
Pushing it would be the biggest Epstein distraction of all.

Yes, that button is scary. And since he is threatening Iran with maximum force, it seems quite possible that his demented mind will say the best way to help protestors is to reduce them to nuclear ash.
But I am with Jay on the overall outlook. The whole administration is upping its shooting itself in the foot to machine gun quality. Even Scotus seems to be reacting, with that case about the national guard and what "regular forces" mean, and rumors are that the tariff case is going to go against trump; he is clearly panicked, The lower courts are doing a really tremendous job, particularly in their decisions after trial, in laying out the reasoning for their rulings. And the Extremes can't really keep ignoring those findings.
This not saying "the courts will save us." But as the administration more and more defies court orders or tries to twist them into something they are not, the more bullets enter the foot.
Note: Dang, I'm subscribed to you but didn't get any notice of this. Thanks for noting it on FB.
No, instead I had a realtor over.
